In the rural town of Wausau, WI, the recently deceased have mysteriously risen from the grave. These “Revivers,” as they come to be known, aren’t zombies, though… They’ve returned to the world of the living exactly as they were before they died (well, almost exactly), and local police officer Dana Cypress (Melanie Scrofano) is thrown into the center of the chaos.
Season 1 of SYFY’s new series, Revival, had a lot going for it. For starters, it marked Melanie Scrofano’s return to SYFY (a huge deal for fans of the network’s cult-favorite, Wynonna Earp). It also offered a fresh twist on the “undead” genre and a really interesting hook - one of our main characters was a Reviver herself, and would have the chance to solve her own murder. On top of all that, the show looked beautiful, and really felt like a premium cable series.
Ultimately, our marketing leaned heavily into our beloved star, Melanie Scrofano, who’s incredibly entertaining onscreen, and arguably more entertaining offscreen - something we made sure our fans got to witness as much as possible. Our campaign featured a plethora of behind-the-scenes content (including exclusive interviews with the cast and showrunners, iPhone takeovers, set games, and more), all of which performed extraordinarily well on SYFY’s social and digital platforms.
